Roy Hugo Backman a Jupiter, Florida resident for 20+ years followed his wife, Agnes Edgar Backman, into Eternal peace on Thursday July 20th 2017 at the age of 73. Born in Brooklyn,NY on November 17th 1943 to the late Hugo and Esther Backman. He is also preceded in death by his brothers Edwin & Herbert and sister Shirley Backman. Roy is survived by his children Linda Ann Backman of Jupiter, FL, Douglas McCall of Stamford, CT and Roy Lee Backman of CT. As well as being Uncle Roy to many nieces and nephews. He was the owner/operator of the family business Biggar Refrigeration Service of Stamford for many years before moving to Florida. Roy was a man of many talents with a meticulous work ethic and a great willingness to help others. He will be missed by many friends who knew and loved him for his unique sense of humor and ability to make light of any bad situation. His strong spirit will never be forgotten. Services will be held at The First Presbyterian Church of Tequesta on 482 Tequesta Drive in Tequesta FL 33469 on Sunday August 6th at 2:30 for Roy as well as his wife of 46yrs, Aggie, who passed on June 2nd 2017. A reception will follow at their residence on 24 Van Rd Jupiter FL. All are welcome to come celebrate the lives of two people who are together again in peace.
