Cooper, Meredith Mix

Jupiter — Meredith Mix Cooper, 82, died peacefully Friday, August 11, 2017. He is predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Ronda (Grabbe) Cooper. He leaves his daughters Kelly (Tim) Crotty and Ashley (John) Kirkgasser, his grandson Patrick Crotty, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.

Born and raised in Linton Indiana, the son of Hobert and Nellie (Mix) Cooper, Meredith served in the Airforce in both Korea and Japan. He served as an Indiana State Trooper until relocating his family to Florida. He worked in the insurance industry for many years including managing corporate self-insurance for FP&L. He was well respected for his expertise and integrity.

Mr. Cooper enjoyed playing golf and was an avid boater. He was a visible member of the Indian Creek community, serving terms as president of the homeowners association, and always ready to engage neighbors in conversation. He was also recognized for over 25 years of service as a Free Mason.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday August 17 at Courtyard Gardens, 1790 Indian Creek Drive West, Jupiter, FL 33458. Burial will take place in Indiana at a later date.
