William R. Riccio, 94, of Palm City, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2016. William was born on February 23, 1922 in Hartford, CT. Son of the late Leo Riccio and Teresa (Rositto) Riccio and was one of ten children. William served in the US Army during World War II in the Pacific theater. William lived most of his life in Hartford and East Hartford Connecticut, until 2003, when he relocated to Palm City, Florida. William retired in 1987 from the State of Connecticut. William's passion was the game of golf. An avid and excellent golfer who played golf five days a week until his mid 80's. William is survived by his loving daughter Patricia M. Piskura and her husband David of West Palm Beach, Brother Joseph of Deerfield Beach, FL, sister Rose of Hartford Ct. William was predeceased by his wonderful and loving wife Margaret of 67 years, six brothers and one sister. A great Father, Uncle and Friend, Bill will be greatly missed by many. Memorial Mass to be held Saturday, January 14th At 12:00 PM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 13591 Prosperity Farms Road, Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Friends of the Family are welcome after the service, at the home of Patricia Piskura, 6600 Sparrow Hawk Drive, West Palm Beach, FL.
Inurnment at a later date at the South Florida National Cemetery, with Military honors.
