Tequesta – Thomas Alva Rackley III, 78, died Sunday, July 2, 2017 at his home in Tequesta, Florida. He leaves his wife of 55 years, Glenda (Jones) Rackley; daughter, Ronalee Rackley Turner; sons, Thomas G. Rackley, Scott T. Rackley, and Peterson R. Rackley; and three grandchildren. Mr. Rackley was born on June 27, 1939 in Miami, Florida. After graduating from Miami Edison High School in 1957 he joined the United States Air Force, serving from 1957 – 1961. He went on to attend Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, graduating in 1964. Mr. Rackley was employed at Pratt & Whitney (West Palm Beach, FL) for 30 years, retiring as Manager in 1994. Services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, July 15th at the First Baptist Church of Tequesta. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Thomas to Tequesta's First Baptist Church, 423 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta, FL 33469.
