Ronald Henry "Ron" Marhoffer, husband of Mildred "Mickie" Marhoffer of Tequesta, FL born 30 November 1940 in Rahway, NJ passed away peacefully on 27 August 2016 in the Hospice Care Center at Jupiter Medical Center Pavilion. He was raised in New Jersey. After graduating High School, he entered the United States Navy where he served on the Destroyer USS Bristol. He was united in holy matrimony to Mildred A. Currie on 26 August 1961. After honorable discharge from the Navy, he served in the Rahway Fire Department. In 1971 they relocated to Coral Springs, FL where he became a union certified carpenter. They relocated to Jupiter in 1977 and have lived in the Jupiter-Tequesta area since. Ron enjoyed self-employment as a residential contractor until 2002, when he joined the Jupiter Medical Center Building Engineering Department and finally retired from full-time employment in 2010. Ronald Henry is survived by his wife of 55 years and life-long partner Mildred "Mickie" Marhoffer, daughter Sharon & Son-in-law Jay Friant of Castle Rock, CO, Kim E. Kenney of Jupiter Farms and Ronda & Son-in-law Erick Rugg of Tequesta, FL, four Grandsons (Robert, Nicholas, Ronald & Wesley), two Granddaughters (Ericka & Ashley) and two Great Grandsons (Emerson & Mason). A viewing will be held on 2 September 2016 at 2:00 PM at Church of the Good Shepherd, 400 Seabrook Rd, Tequesta, FL 33469. Memorial service will immediately follow at 3:00 PM. The service will be officiated by The Reverend Canon G. Kerry Robb & Sons-in-law and Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. A Military Honors & Placement ceremony will then be held at 4:00 PM at Riverside Memorial Park, 19351 SE County Line Rd, Jupiter, FL 33469. Please join the family for a reception at 4:30 PM at American Legion Veterans Organization, 775 US-1, Tequesta, FL 33469. In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Hospice Foundation.
