Ralph Gary Vint- October 22, 2016

Ralph passed away after a brief illness on Saturday October 22nd 2016 in his 65th year. He was born in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada and spent his formative years in Dublin, California when his late father Wilmer relocated the family. His love of music began in the stage band at his high school and continued throughout his life. He was an accomplished drummer, jazz, rock and roll and had belonged to the Ingersoll Ontario Pipe Band as a field drummer when he returned to Canada to attend Brock University and to later raise a family.
Ralph was a great son, brother, husband, father, uncle, in-law and grandfather, never missing an opportunity to tell a joke or put a smile on your face. His love of adventure and curiosity took him to many parts of the world. He had many different places he called home in Canada and the United States and was a proud dual citizen.
He is survived by his wife and best friend of 41 years Janis (nee Seymour) and four children: Abigail (David Shepherd), England, Cortney Cassidy (Kevin), Canada, Heather Demers (Robb Delaquila), Illinois and Rawson, Illinois. He has four wonderful grandchildren who will miss their piratey Papa: Marshall, Stanley, Liam and Hattie.
He will be dearly missed by his mother Margaret Skursky (Edward), Canada, his brother Glenn (Barbara), nieces and nephews and his extended family Norma Seymour, Canada, Dana Seymour and Madelaine Mercure, Barbados, Tracey Seymour, Canada as well as Aunt Gena and Uncle Stan, Troy and family, Canada.
As a mentor to many in his work at General Motors in London, Ontario, IMT in Ingersoll, Ontario, RFPC in Laurinburg, North Carolina and Wabtec in Chicago, Illinois, he will be missed by colleagues around the world.
Visitation will be held Thursday October 27th, 6pm to 9pm at Taylor and Modeen Funeral Home, 250 Center Street, Jupiter, FL, 33458. Funeral on Friday October 28th at 11am at the funeral home with internment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park in Tequesta, FL.
In lieu of flowers the family asks donations "in memory of Ralph Vint" to Autism Speaks www.autismspeaks.org or to ARTS Project www.artsproject.ca/support to further advance his dear late friend Bruce Johnson's legacy.
