Michael "OB" Joseph O'Brien passed away at the age of 63 on Sunday morning, March 5, 2017, in Palm Beach County, surrounded by the people he loved.
God saw him getting tired,
and a cure was not to be.
He wrapped him in his loving arms
and whispered, "Come with me."
Michael was born in Montclair, NJ on February 17, 1954 to Edward and Roberta O'Brien. He served as a Marine in Vietnam and retired after 30 years as a Sergeant with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. Michael's kindness and gentle soul enriched all that knew him. He is survived by his children, daughter Autumn, son Casey, whom he loved; granddaughters, Shaelyn and Irelyn; his beloved mother, Roberta (predeceased by his father, Edward); siblings, Robert, Colleen and Brian; nieces, Kristen, Cassie, Brenna; nephews, Michael, Matthew, Boomer, Brian; great-niece, Kaylan.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a sizeable purchase at your local watering hole and tell the stories he no longer can. Don't drink and drive, get a ride. The family suggests contributions to Disabled American Veterans at DAV.org or PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
