Mary Elizabeth Montross (1958–2017)
Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Montross, 58, of Palm Beach Gardens, passed away on Wednesday, March 1 surrounded by her family. A loving mother, caring aunt, supportive sister, and welcoming friend, Liz touched so many lives with her sharp wit and her tremendous insight. Among many hobbies, Liz was well known for her incredible talent in the kitchen and her passion for keeping fit. Those who knew Liz knew her open heart and her brilliant smile, and will truly know the loss that her passing represents.
Liz was preceded by her father Doug in 2004, and is survived by her mother, Gloria; son, Stephen; her brother, Michael; sisters, Marilyn and Marcy; and her close friend and previous husband, Michael. Married twice, Liz was also known as Liz Fitzmaurice and Liz Hendershaw.
Friends and family are invited to join a service in Liz's honor at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 11, at St. Clare Catholic Church in North Palm Beach. A private burial will follow on Sunday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Club Oasis, Inc., a non-profit serving the addiction recovery community in northern Palm Beach County. Those wishing to donate directly can send checks made payable to Club Oasis, Inc. to 10859 Prosperity Farms Road, Palm Beach Gardens, FL. 33410. Please indicate that the donation is in Liz's memory in the memo field.
