Leona Elizabeth (Bauder) Ralph, born January 22, 1923 to Herman Arthur Bauder and Martha (Thomas) Bauder in New Castle, Pennsylvania, spent her childhood in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, and Illinois. At the age of 13, she met her future husband, George Edward Ralph. They married June 4, 1943 and entered the Gospel ministry in 1945. She served her Lord side by side with the man she loved for over 50 years. As a Jupiter area resident for 44 years, Mrs. Ralph worshipped with the Grace Immanuel Bible Church and served as a longtime employee of First Marine Bank. Mrs. Ralph is survived by her dear husband of almost 73 years – Rev. George Ralph. Her sister Annabelle Bauder McCreery proceeded her in death. Her children Donna Lee Ralph Both (Don Both) of Columbus, MS, Robert James Ralph of Fayetteville, NC, Mark Edward Ralph (Ruth Ralph) of Wayne, OH, and Doris Jeanne Russell (Dan Russell) of Stuart, FL mourn her passing.
Mrs. Ralph is also survived by five siblings: Betty Lou Bauder Vanasky, Julia Bauder Wilson, Samuel Arthur Bauder, Peggy Bauder Price, and William Clifford Bauder. Mrs. Ralph's nine loving grandchildren and eleven greatgrandchildren remember her with love and deep respect.
Mrs. Ralph passed at her residence in Palm Beach Gardens, FL on May 28, 2016. She was 93 years old.
Mrs. Ralph's resonant alto voice, skill on the piano, and general love of music brought joy and encouragement to congregants, to her children, and to her grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, any contributions may be given to the Leona Ralph Memorial Conservatory fund at Grace Immanuel Bible Church in Jupiter, Florida, so needy and talented youth may learn to make that joyful sound flourish.
