Katherine Schweighardt, 81 years of Jupiter, FL went to be with the lord on September 14th, 2017. Katherine was born on October 8th, 1935 in Vertesboglar, Hungary to parents Frank and Maria (Bach) Stadler. She immigrated from Germany with her parents and siblings; Frank, Sebastian, Steve, Martin and Marie in 1951 to the U.S.A. She met her beloved husband of 60 years, Anton Schweighardt and married on February 9th, 1957 in Passaic, NJ. Katherine was always happy go lucky, compassionate & deeply loved by all. Like her mother, she cooked up a storm and was known for her Hungarian dishes, thin crust pizza and apricot kiffles. She was a homemaker & enjoyed entertaining for large family gatherings. She loved her flower garden, dancing, playing cards & tennis. She also loved vacationing on the Caribbean islands and her trips to the casinos. Katherine is survived by her husband Anton, her three children Anna Marie (Fred) Babucke, Thomas (Maria) Schweighardt, Janet (Steven) Hoek and her seven grandchildren, Kristen, Katelyn and Thomas Schweighardt and Jesse, Samantha, Leah and Daniel Hoek.

A visitation service in memory of Katherine will be held on Monday, September 18th,2017 at 5:30-7:30 at the Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home, 250 Center St, Jupiter, FL 33458. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 19th, 2017 at 10:00 am at the St. Peter Catholic Church, 1701 Indian Creek Parkway Jupiter, FL 33458. Burial Follows at 12:00 pm at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery, 10941 Southern Boulevard Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411. A reception will follow at 1:30 pm at Volcano's Restaurant, 221 South U.S. 1, Tequesta, FL
