Surrounded by her loving family, Janet Kathleen Kenny passed away on September 24 in Stuart, Florida.
Janet was born in New York, NY to Anna and James Waltz on December 12, 1942. She was married to Patrick Michael Kenny on November 18, 1967.
She raised five children in Garden City, NY and then Chatham, NJ before retiring to Jupiter, Florida with her husband. She was an avid golfer, a passionate cook and dedicated parishioner of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Chatham, NJ and St. Jude Parish in Tequesta, FL. Her greatest role in life was that of loving mother and doting Nana to her five children and nine grandchildren.
Janet is survived by her husband Patrick Michael Kenny; brother, James; children, Thomas, Kevin, Chris, Peter, and Katherine; daughters-in-law Samantha, Brooks, and Hannah; son-in-law, Alistair; grandchildren, Carleigh, Paige, Patrick, Sean, Jack, Carter, Maura, Emmett, and Evelyn.
Visiting hours will be held from 3:00 – 5:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm Tuesday, September 27 at Taylor Modeen Funeral Home, 250 Center Street, Jupiter, FL.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Jude Catholic Church, 204 US Highway One, Tequesta, FL., 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 28, 2016.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Janet's name to Alzheimer's Community Care (http://www.alzcare.org) and Treasure Coast Hospice (http://www.tchospice.org) in loving gratitude for the care and support shown to Janet and her family.
