Evelyn C. Phillips, passed away peacefully on the 30th of December, 2016. Evelyn was born on the island of Barbados on March 19, 1920. She was the daughter of Charles C. Greaves and Mabel L. Cozier. She emigrated to the U.S.A. in 1948, shortly after the death of her first husband Charles Colin Fields, whom was the father of their surviving daughters, Shirley Demarest and Coral Cece. Evelyn was immensely proud of her American citizenship and respected all of the responsibilities and privileges as a citizen of her new country. She, her children and husband Kempson, resided in Dumont, NJ for several years where she was an active member of the New Milford Presbyterian Church and Church Women's Club. Evelyn and her husband Kempson lived for a time in Lake Stockholm, NJ, later in Toms River, NJ, then Evelyn moved to FL in 2007, with their daughter Coral and grandson Philip. Evelyn is survived by daughters, Shirley (Robert) Demarest of Tannersville, PA; 3 grandchildren Dan (Jodi Burke) Demarest of Tannersville, PA, Jon Demarest of Myrtle Beach, SC, Laurie (Scott) Demarest Jordan Lower Nazareth, PA; sister Anita (Maurice) and niece Janet Titcomb of Port Charlotte, FL; 7 great-grandchildren Megan T. (Dave) Demarest Ward, Campbell, Keegan and Ian Demarest, Marley (Mike) Demarest Freeman, and twins Sierra & Skyler Jordan; 3 great-great grandchildren Hunter, Dani Rose, and Arissa;
5 step great-grandchildren Colin, Christie Escanilla, Justin, Sabrina and Dylan; She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Kempson and grandson Philip
